About

As the Director of CanAdapt, I draw on my backgrounds in software development and community leadership to steer the CanAdapt network and support communities, organizations, and sectors in being more resilient and regenerative in the face of Climate Change and Polycrisis.

As the founder of Climate Caucus, I led a nation-wide network of Canadian mayors and councillors to accelerate community-scale climate action.

As the current board chair of of the Community Energy Association, I help guide efforts to bring sustainable energy solutions to communities.

As a city councillor in Nelson, BC, I support community-level initiatives and local governance. I also provide on-the-ground insights into the challenges and opportunities of implementing low-carbon resilience strategies.

I am passionately dedicated to building effective communities of practice and peer networks. My mission is to support society's adaptation to the evolving needs of the future, focusing on inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability. As a leader, I aim to inspire and cultivate the skills and knowledge necessary for us all to thrive in an ever-changing world.

In addition to my leadership roles, I am deeply committed to consulting with network leaders to build stronger, more dynamic peer networks and communities of practice.

I specialize in fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, creating environments encouraging innovation, and developing strategies leading to meaningful, sustainable change.

My passion lies in empowering networks to operate more effectively and adapt to challenges with resilience and forward-thinking. By sharing my knowledge and experiences, I help leaders and communities navigate the complexities of today’s climate concerns and anticipate and prepare for tomorrow's needs.
