The project aims to shine a light on the often-undervalued impact of online Practitioner Networks in advancing climate change adaptation efforts across Canada. With the challenge of measuring success and real-world impact of these networks, our initiative seeks to develop and refine indicators that can effectively capture the essence of knowledge transfer from these online communities to tangible climate action. By embracing a multitude of methodologies, including surveys, data analysis, and case studies, our goal is to gain comprehensive insights into how these networks facilitate climate change adaptation projects on the ground.

The findings from this project will serve a dual purpose: reinforcing the importance of Practitioner Networks by highlighting their contributions and identifying areas for improvement to enhance their effectiveness. Contributions from practitioners across all sectors and regions of Canada will ensure a rich, diverse pool of input, driving the project toward outcomes that reflect a broad spectrum of experiences and insights. Through this collaborative effort, the project hopes to not only underscore the value of these networks but also spark initiatives to address gaps and challenges, fostering a more impactful and cohesive climate action framework.
