Energy Practitioner Network
Working together to accelerate progress towards a low-carbon, climate-resilient Energy Sector.
About
Our story
The Energy Practitioner Network (Energy PN) is an online community for practitioners and others who are working to enhance the preparedness and low-carbon resilience of Canada's energy sector to the impacts of climate change. The Energy PN facilitates peer-to-peer learning, collaboration and engagement among energy sector practitioners to advance initiatives aimed at addressing climate change within their professional practice, covering disciplines like renewable energy, fossil fuels, policy, and energy efficiency. With AI tools, it streamlines access to information, resources and training, and enhances opportunities for practitioners to collaborate. This enables members to stay informed and improve their practice effectively.
The network offers a variety of options for members to build their practice, share their expertise and learn from other practitioners, professionals and decision-makers in the energy sector. This includes but is not limited to: opportunities to build relationships; engage in peer-to-peer learning; and access information, training, and support for advancing climate action in Canada's energy sector.
Vision and Mission
Vision: The Energy PN envisions a future where practitioners and decision-makers across the energy sector are fully equipped to plan for and manage the impacts of climate change, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, transitioning to low-carbon and renewable energy sources, and enhancing climate resilience. The Network provides practitioners with opportunities to strengthen their efforts to advance low-carbon, climate resilience initiatives within their professional practice.
Mission: To achieve this vision, the Energy PN is committed to:
- Facilitating the sharing of resources, ideas, and lessons learned among practitioners, professionals and others working in the energy sector.
