About

Armed with a Master's degree in Building Engineering from Carleton University, I am deeply passionate about developing sustainable solutions that enhance the relationship between our built environments and the natural world. My academic and research journey has equipped me with a rich blend of expertise in building science, heritage conservation, building performance simulation, architectural design, and structural design. These competencies are further bolstered by my hands-on experience as a research assistant where I focused on analyzing the thermal resilience of buildings to extreme climate changes using EnergyPlus.

My thesis—centered on the effects of location and building upgrades on an archetype building's thermal resilience during simulated power outages—spotlights my ability to merge theoretical knowledge with practical application. This work underscores my commitment to not only addressing the challenges posed by climate change but also to contributing to the creation of sustainable, efficient, and environmentally integrated building designs.

I am driven by a motivation to create meaningful work and possess natural leadership qualities coupled with exceptional time management skills. These traits have consistently positioned me as a de facto leader in group settings, highlighting my ability to steer projects towards success while fostering a positive team environment.

My ultimate aim is to leverage this blend of knowledge, skills, and passion to contribute to projects and initiatives focused on making our buildings more sustainable and resilient, ensuring they positively impact our natural environment for generations to come.
